Evidence-based veterinary medicine, personal care, sound advice and a warm welcome for people and their animals alike – that’s what we stand for.
With professional expertise, modern equipment and a great deal of empathy, we care for dogs, cats and small pets through every stage of life. Our aim is the best possible care for your animal, in a calm and trusting atmosphere.
Whether dog, cat or small pet – here the individual needs of every patient come first.
With modern diagnostics, sound expertise and continuous training, we offer medical care at a high level. From preventive check-ups and vaccinations through the treatment of acute and chronic conditions to surgical procedures, we accompany your animal competently through every stage of life.
It matters to us that you feel in good hands. That’s why we take the time to explain things clearly and involve you actively in every decision about your animal’s health. Our aim is veterinary care as a partnership: transparent, understandable and tailored to you.
We look forward to getting to know you and your animal companion, and to being a reliable partner for your pet’s health.
Rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, degus & co. have needs all their own and call for veterinary care tailored to what makes them special.
That’s why we take our time, listen closely and set great store by a thorough examination – the basis for targeted, well-tolerated treatment. We advise you on diet, husbandry, dental and digestive issues. With our experience and expertise, we want to help even our smallest patients feel they’re in good hands. Because good veterinary medicine knows no minimum size.
For specialist questions we work closely with specialist colleagues – for example in cardiology, orthopaedics or oncology – and refer you specifically to where your animal is in the best hands.
We treat acute cases – after a phone call to let us know, and during our opening hours – whenever we can ensure appropriate care. A quick call in advance helps us get everything ready for you.
Whether small pet, dog or cat: our full range of care is open to every animal – from prevention right through to support at the end of life.
Staying healthy is easier than getting better. We accompany your animal from its first weeks right into old age.
When something isn’t right, we get answers quickly – most of it right here in-house.
When an illness is here to stay, we get your animal well settled – and stay by your side.
From an acute illness to a planned procedure – with careful anaesthesia and attentive aftercare.
Dental pain often goes unnoticed in animals for a long time. That’s why we look closely – a particular focus of our practice.
When a cure is no longer the goal, quality of life is what counts – and a dignified farewell.
After treatment, you’ll always receive a detailed invoice from us – with the diagnosis, every individual item and the medications used.
You settle the treatment costs right afterwards: by EC, debit or credit card, or in cash.
If larger costs arise, we offer the option of assigning your invoice to the financial service provider BFS.
For larger costs – for an operation, say, or in an emergency – you can assign your invoice to the financial service provider BFS and pay in instalments: within 90 days at no extra cost and interest-free, subject to good credit. That gives you a little room and time in difficult moments.
We bill according to the German veterinary fee schedule (GOT). What a treatment costs depends on its type and scope.
After an examination, we’re glad to prepare a cost estimate for any further treatment, surgery or diagnostics. And at any time, before or during treatment, do ask what costs to expect – as far as that can be judged medically.
Outside our regular consulting hours – during emergency service – noticeably higher fees apply, plus an additional emergency flat fee.
There are parking spaces for your car both in front of our practice on Kasseler Str. 22 and on the adjoining Schulstraße. You’ll find further parking options nearby.
The practice is easy to reach on bus lines 30, 31, 32 and N32. Get off at the nearest stop, „Niestetal-Heiligenrode Rathenaustraße”, and it’s just a 1-minute walk from there to the practice.
Our practice is still being set up and renovated – and this website is growing with it. Not all of our rooms and info pages are finished yet. But we’re hurrying, because we want to open our doors this year and can’t wait to welcome our first patients. Until then, we ask for a little patience.
Warm regards
Your VetDuo Heiligenrode – Dr. Diana Keller & Dr. Caroline Doehring
